It’s time to pay respects to our fellow brethren known as Ghetto People. You see ghetto people everywhere whether you choose to acknowledge them or not. In fact you can’t help but to notice Ghetto People because often times they stand out like herpes due to their gaudy jewelry from the swap meet, flamboyant hairstyles, rowdy language, or clothes that are either too tight, six sizes too big, or down right inappropriate for the occasion. Either way, this blog will help you understand ghetto people in the event you have to interact with them since they will never go away. But do you really want Ghetto People to go away? They make life interesting for all the boring folks out there. This blog will be an educational tool to understand the mindset of Ghetto People and the ridiculousness that ensues in their everyday lives. Yo I appreciate tis blog for the simple fact that while most people automatically equate “black” with “ghetto”, ghetto applies to all races living in certain circumstances and even those who don’t live near the ghetto and still have those tendencies. I notice that you include pictures of other people besides Blacks and that’s very real. I’m from Cali and grew up around some of the most ghetto white people, Mexicans, and Asians to ever walk the earth so no, ghetto is not just Black and no, I don’t think that’s what the site is trying to say. There are so many options on the Internet, why would you take the time to comment on something and throw salt when it’s not something that entertains you or that you would normally read? Kick rocks!

Ghetto is ghetto period. Those people who are taking this in offense A) have a huge chip on their shoulder or B) have never lived in the ghetto so don’t know what’s crackin. This is not an issue of race, it’s about the hood. Although we could talk about white trash here the reality is the majority of those fools live in trailers somewhere, and the white’s that do live in the historical ‘ghetto’ do fit into most of these descriptions. This shit is funny, because it is real. All of us who have ever been around the hood have seen the crazy shit that Pookie, Ray-ray, and LaQuisha have done. That doesn’t exclude white people because they are standing in line right there behind them. Hi, I hope you read this. I read some of the other comments ahead of mine. I think your blog is funny. Its not racist, and its sad that a lot of people think it is. People should not be offended by the word ghetto or nigger/nigga. These words existed before they were used hatefully, and the key is to stop associating them with any group of people. My boyfriend is white and I’ve heard him use the N-word. Not towards a black person, but towards an ignorant person which is what the word means. As African-American, I wasn’t offended, because I don’t associate myself or people like me with that word. The racism is in the association not the word itself. Once people realize that, they can laugh at your blog like I am.

Yeah it doesn’t matter what race it is, but it just happens to be black people. And black people make fun of white people so what’s the difference if white people make fun of black people? Atleast if you’re going to get mad at someone don’t be a hypocrite about it.
I am a high-school student.
My parents get decent income and we live in a nice (not rich, but nice) neighborhood.
The school I used to go to was, for lack of a better word, ghetto.
And (I’m not trying to be racist, its just experience) over 60% of the people there were in fact african-american.
Now there were the ones that were respectable, friendly and even admirable. Did their work and were on the right track as far as I could see. But then there were the people that walked around and yes,they proclaimed their ‘ghetto-ness’. Phrases such as ‘ooh girl, this school be triflin’ or ‘mayne, fuck dis shit ima go blow in da restroom, you got sum weed?’ Again, not trying to come off as offending, simply stating what I heard and saw.
Also, if you listen to a certain kind of music, say something classy such as debussy, chopin or beethoven and they happen to hear, you are automatically bombarded with stuff such as ‘turn dat shit off muh’fucker’, if you listen to rock, ac/dc, led zepplin or the beatles: ‘turn that white boy shit down nigga’, if you listen to anything other than what they like you have to ‘turn that shit off before I beat yo ass’. However if they decide to crank up the volume its followed by ‘oooooh damn dats my jam nigga’ or ‘damn girl, turn that shit up’ and usually a raunchy dance of some sort.
I don’t get why people like this are proud of being ghetto. They flaunt it as if it were something positive. And true, everyone has that side to their race, (once again, not trying to be racist or ignorant just speaking from experience) there’s the black side, the ‘hood niggas’ as they refer to themselves. The latino (which is my ethnicity) ‘cholos’ with the dickies and all, the ‘azn pryd’ gangsters, the redneck caucasian kids that are on the fence about neo-nazi’ism and several other ‘ghetto’ subtypes (these were just the most prominent at my school),however I wonder why so many african-americans in general (mainly the ‘hood’ ones) complain about how they’re treated, or how they’re percieved when they are the ones (the ghetto ones) that go around parading how they ‘were in a drive-by mayne’ or how they ‘got a shotload of weed nigga’ or how they ‘dont give a fuh’ about dis damn education shit dawg’ and stuff like that.
And don’t get me wrong, its not just blacks like I said its every ethnicity. And then they get at each other with how one race is supposedly better than the other. If they could all just use correct grammar, get their heads straight and say ‘fuck it, as messed as my situation is, I am going to fight to be someone’, if they just stayed in school, quit the drugs, quit the unprotected sex, and threw away the mindset that they have to be ‘thuggin’ or ‘be an O.G.’ that would help everyone.
